Her expression went stiff. Looking at her reflection in the respective steel wall, she fixed her hair and clothes.

As soon as she hit the send icon twice, two loud chimes broke the silence in the elevator.
The chimes came from Matthew’s pocket.

She put away her phone in a hurry, straightened her back, and flashed a polite smile.

“One of the company’s branches is currently experiencing some crisis.
We need to travel down there to solve it,” said Fernando seriously.
Stella nodded slightly and quietly waited for him to continue.
“The head of the public relations department had an accident recently and broke her arm, so she can’t come with us. Mr. Clark has made you her replacement for the trip,” Fernando explained, rather indifferently.
